IS ALL SILK THE SAME?

Silkworks, uses "Class One" Mulberry silk, ISO 9001 certified with a 100% cotton outer shell. This silk is home made on silk farms that requires a great deal of attention, care and patience. The result is a long thin strand of silk, pearly white and evenly distributed color. It’s very flexible and the heat preservation is 100%. It is the strongest silk made from adult silkworms and can be used up to 20 years.

Lower classes of silk are made up of shorter strands, appear yellow to gold in color, appear knotty and show a loss in the smooth lustrous finish of finer silks. Lower classes have a reduction in heat preservation and life expectancy drops as well.

Our silk is Class One silk, the highest quality, with the highest heat preservation and the longest life expectancy of 20-years.

We invite you to view our top class silk in each of our duvets through a side zipper beside the label.
